The oceans cover 71% (and rising) of the Earth's surface, and thousands of marine species call the ocean their home.  By understanding how everything is connected in the ocean and how we interact with it as humans, children will learn to care for and protect the ocean, not just to make it a better place for themselves but for the fish and sea creatures that live in it. 
 
Our water and oceans themed activities will engage children and help them form personal connections to their world and the cultural practices they are familiar with.
 
With theme based resources and objects, children will explore sensorial, practical life, language, mathematical and cultural experiences.  They will be exposed to new vocabulary including the names of different whale species, ocean creatures, and zones of the ocean.  Practical life and sensorial activities will enhance children's fine motor skills through the use of textures, taste and temperature.
